How Pobek Advisory Ltd collects, uses and protects personal data submitted through this website.
1. Who we are
Pobek Advisory Ltd ("Pobek", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
Registered office: [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]. Company number: [COMPANY NUMBER]. Operating office: First Floor, 10 Ijora Causeway, Ijora, Lagos, Nigeria.
For any question about this policy or about how we handle your data, contact us at info@pobek.co.uk.
2. What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us through the enquiry form on our contact page:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your organisation, if you provide it
- The content of your message
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track your behaviour across other websites. The site loads a web font from Google Fonts; your browser's request for that font is handled by Google under its own privacy terms.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
We use the information you send solely to respond to your enquiry and, where that enquiry leads to it, to discuss and scope a possible engagement. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not send unsolicited communications.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to a business enquiry that you have initiated — and, where an engagement follows, the performance of a contract.
4. Who sees it
Enquiries are read by the Pobek team. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
Enquiry submissions are stored using Supabase, our hosting provider for form data, and this website is served by Vercel. Both act as processors on our instructions. Email is handled by our email provider. Processing may involve transfers outside the United Kingdom and Nigeria, protected by the safeguards those providers have in place.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiry data is retained for 24 months from your last contact with us, after which it is deleted. Where an enquiry becomes a client engagement, records are retained for the period required by our professional and legal obligations.
6. Confidentiality
Information shared with us in the course of an enquiry or engagement is treated as confidential. We do not disclose client identities or the substance of client work without written consent.
7. Your rights
Subject to the applicable regime, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to receive it in a portable form. To exercise any of these, email info@pobek.co.uk.
If you are in the United Kingdom and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. If you are in Nigeria, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
8. Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored with access restricted to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
9. Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date above.
Draft for review. This policy is a working skeleton prepared for Pobek Advisory Ltd. Placeholders marked in brackets must be completed, and the whole document should be reviewed by a qualified adviser against the regime that applies to the operating entity — UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, or both — before publication. It is not legal advice.
