Rigour
We test our own assumptions harder than anyone else will. Every figure we present can be traced back to the judgement that produced it.
Approach
Pobek is independent by choice. We hold no products and sit on no panels, so the only thing we have to defend is the quality of the answer — on decisions measured in decades rather than quarters.
Principles
i
We test our own assumptions harder than anyone else will. Every figure we present can be traced back to the judgement that produced it.
ii
Complexity is not a credential. We reduce the technical to the decision it actually supports, and no further.
iii
We design for the year that does not follow the trend. A position that only holds in the central scenario is not a position.
iv
Method carries you a long way. It does not carry you all the way — and where the numbers run out, experience answers.
Method
Step one
We start with the decision, not the data. What is being decided, by whom, and against which constraint.
Step two
We build only what the decision requires, and we build it so that someone else can pick it up and audit it.
Step three
We hand back a position you can defend to a board and to a regulator, together with the reasoning that holds it up.
